Captiva vs. the Competition - New Study Published

Intelligent enterprise capture is a critical component to a comprehensive enterprise content management system. As today's document capture market becomes increasingly competitive, it is essential to look beyond simple product features and price tags. When looking to invest in a document capture solution, it is important to make sure the solution fits, flows and adapts.

So, what distinguishes one data capture solution from another? What makes one better? To find out, EMC Captiva went head-to-head against one of its biggest competitors. The company Wipro, a provider of integrated business, technology, consulting, testing and process solutions, conducted the blind test.

The resulting Wipro Benchmark Report showed EMC Captiva's intelligent enterprise capture solutions outperforming the competition. The objective of the evaluation was to assess and compare the ability of each capture solution to meet the requirements of today’s business and IT environments. The data for the report was compiled by installing and deploying both Captiva and the competitive software suite on the same hardware in an identical environment with identical batches of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured documents for processing. Both solutions were then evaluated on the basis of overall performance, manageability, usability, scalability and modularity. Captiva ranked higher in 4 of 5 categories.
